Program Manager
Stepping Stone’s facility and programs are supervised by experience staff. The Program Manager is responsible to ensure that the programs, facility operations and staffing minimally meet State requirements.
Residential Care Workers
Residential Care Workers (RCW) are responsible for implementing each individual’s day-to-day care and programming. The RCW is required to provide supervision and structure with personalized attention. All RCW’s complete an extensive training program, with additional educational in-services and training provided on an ongoing basis.
Medical Care
Stepping Stone, Inc. works closely with treating physicians to ensure proper coordination and management of each individual’s medical needs. At the time of intake, if a physician has not been identified to oversee an individual’s needs, Stepping Stone will assist in selection a physician resource.
Behavioral Management
Stepping Stone designs specialized behavior management programs to address the needs of individuals whose behavior prevents productive functioning within both their home environment and the community. Specific behavioral Programs are designed as needed and implemented by trained staff.
Daily Personal Activities
Part of every individual’s program is to maintain daily living skills. Each person’s program focuses on maintain daily living skills. Each person’s program focuses on maintaining personal appearance and living space, planning meals, grocery shopping, taking care of personal items, management of personal funds and, when appropriate, use of public transportation.
Consultants/Therapies
Stepping Stone has a team of professional consultants who assist in the management of each individual’s needs.
A Dietician monitors the individual’s nutrition and meal planning on a weekly basis. An Occupational Therapist designs and oversees all activities of daily living programs. A Registered Nurse is our Program Manager and consults on medical issues and provides in-services to staff. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy are available should an individual have specific therapeutic needs. Stepping Stone is equipped to provide these services contractually or will network with other programs based on need
